The Waters of Sydney & Port Stephens

Sydney
Sydney is our homeport; it has some of the finest fishing in the world.

In summer our marlin population consists of blacks, blues and stripes as well as the occasional short-billed spearfish and sailfish.

Our best days marlin fishing was in ' 97 we tagged 13 striped marlin in a day. We too have caught Blue marlin to 300kg as well as big stripes to 150kg

Best months for marlin off Sydney are December to June
In winter May to November it is the gut busting yellowfin tuna we target. The magnificent tackle testers can be caught all through these months.

Other species are mahi mahi, snapper, kingfish and assorted reef species.

Port Stephens
The grounds of PT STEPHENS are the best medium tackle marlin fishing in the world.

Since the mid seventies we have had catch and release days of 18 marlin with the best being '05 when we tagged 21 marlin in a day. We tagged and released 248 marlin in the '97 season.

We fish Port Stephens from late January to mid April each year.
As well as the wild marlin fishing there are giant mahi mahi and smatterings of cobia and yellowfin.

Captain Ross and Glenn Hunter are dedicated fishermen with "A LIFETIME OF FISHING" behind them.
Between them they have achieved so many tournament wins and personal records.
You cannot be in better company than Ross or Glenn Hunter.
